What We Do For You
Bottom of the Harbour, started by Grahame and Rhonda Ober, aims to re-centre accounting; re-centre it on you. Rhonda is herself a contractee sonographer with Bottom of the Harbour and Grahame is the effective CEO of the company and they understand the importance of personal contact when it concerns your money.
Our process is simple; a business that is solely your own is started and then contracted out to your current employer. This in turn does two things. Firstly, you are no longer directly employed but your company is, you will effectively have decreased tax responsibilities come tax return time. Secondly, due to your newly defined company status you will be able to claim a large amount of company expenses that should cover a larger share of your income.
For peace-of-mind Bottom of the Harbour will completely manage your company on your behalf while you just get on with the job at hand.
You are the director and 100% shareholder of your company - the company is your own - but Bottom of the Harbour do all the administration as you will see on the page overleaf.

Agency Invoicing & Liaising
We liaise entirely with your agency, from instigating your company and sorting out the necessary paperwork, to the weekly, fortnightly or monthly invoicing on your behalf. Any problem that may arise with your pay will be dealt with by us quickly and efficiently by contacting your agency on your behalf.
Company Registrations
We register your company with ‘Companies House’ as soon as we get your required information to get you started as quickly as possible. You choose the name and we do the rest.
Carefree & Comprehensive
We will overlook all of your company’s banking accounts ensuring your pay and invoices are on time and that you always receive your entitlements. If any of your current conditions were to change, Bottom of the Harbour will deliver a smooth transition as we aim to be entirely flexible to your working circumstances.
Complete IR35 Compatibility
We’ve done, and continue to do, the hard work to ensure that your company is completely compatible with IR35 legislation. All the background work concerning your employment are checked and double checked by us to ensure that all parties concerned are gaining the greatest advantage.
Tax Returns & HMRC Activities
All your company’s tax returns and your private tax returns will be done by us on time, with the smallest amount of tax payable as possible. Bottom of the Harbour will also enter into any and all correspondence with HMRC if necessary.
Australian, New Zealand & International Tax Returns
We will file your annual tax return with our international office’s accountants both while you’re in the UK and when you return. We would also be happy to look into continuing you on with Bottom of the Harbour when you return with our Australian trained and based accountants.
